Unisex Bergamot Fragrances
Some of our best bergamot fragrances sit comfortably between masculine and feminine. Midnight Caravan, inspired by Byredo Gypsy Water, opens with bergamot and juniper before drifting into pine, incense, and sandalwood. It's woody and slightly smoky with that characteristic bergamot freshness holding everything together.
Moroccan Sunrise takes bergamot in a warmer direction, pairing it with African marigold and violet over a vetiver and cedarwood base. And Lucid Dreaming, our impression of Louis Vuitton Imagination, layers Sicilian citrus and bergamot over cedarwood, white musk, and amber for a clean, luminous bergamot fragrance that anyone can wear.
How to Get the Most from Bergamot Perfume
Bergamot is a top note, which means it's most noticeable in the first 15 to 30 minutes of wear. To extend that citrus freshness, apply to pulse points where body heat will help project the scent: wrists, neck, and behind the ears. Layering a bergamot-forward fragrance with a woody perfume or musk-based scent can also add longevity while keeping that bright opening intact.
Bergamot fragrances tend to perform well in warmer weather because heat amplifies citrus notes. That said, bergamot paired with spicy or amber bases (like in Imperial Blue) works well through autumn and winter too.
